Diploma Friday - 8th Of October

Today, we continued learning our NEW dance with Miss.Scrubb - Contemporary Dance..

Unfortunately, I was late for lesson so did not get a chance to learn the continues dance and edit it with a partner. But, on the other hand I did review what the others were doing and I helped Miss.Scrubb out by filiming them, so I pretty much got an idea of what the DANCE is about. We also watched video clips of Comtemporary Dancers in pairs, they used a certain technique which involved was all to do with connection from one body to another and how you use the space, surrounding and props within it.

It looked quite interesting, and different to other dances types that I have seen e.g Street dance, Balled. Contemporary can ber used and many different ways and has about 20 techniques.

After, DANCE we then had MUSIC, we used to this time to update our blogging.

DRAMA:

After the first 3 lessons, we then had DRAMA, we spent this time in drama to pratise our script with "JACK AND THE BEAN STALK", and we started to continue on to scene 2. At this speed we are gradually building up our confidence and memorised more to the script. This pantomime is exciting and interesting, but what I need to improve on is to not get easily destracted and to not mix my personal life with my theatre life. When, I am on stage I am Jack, outside the drama studio I am Jessica.

Characters:

  • Daisy & Nancy: Naomi Mwakamowo
  • Landlord & Giant: Demi Bekir
  • Jack's Mother: Aalyaih Bell
  • Narrator 1 & Villager 1: Shenell Poorman
  • Narrator 2: Shyanne Watson
  • Goose & Beanman & Villager 2: Illenia
  • Jack: Jessica-Lily Ellis (Me)
It might sound confusing, but when one character is set off stage, there costumes will then change into the other e.g

"Landlord On Stage - Landlord Off Stage - Giant Then Enters"

We catched up not on a lot, but quite a bit and on the 5th lesson, we spent time in the libary trying to update our blogs again which means a free weekend for me WOO HOO !
Except for learning lines : )

Overall, today was just normal but long.

C'yaaaaaaa Bloggers, Fnx for reading xxx
